Questions and answers
- How do I check the repair business?
- Ask for their business name and how long they've done RV work, and check their reviews. California's Bureau of Automotive Repair registers repair dealers, and you can look up a registration on the bureau's website at bar.ca.gov. Ask the tech about insurance and any warranty on parts and labor.
- What should I have ready when I call?
- Your RV's year, make and model, where it's parked (park or lot name, space number and gate notes), what's wrong and when it started. Call (760) 289-3888 or send the form.
- How fast will someone contact me?
- Timing depends on the season and how busy local techs are. Fall through spring is the busy season here. If it's urgent, say so in your request.
- What areas are covered?
- The Coachella Valley: Indio, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Thousand Palms, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells and nearby. If you're farther out, send a request anyway and say where the RV is.
- Can a tech come to my RV park or resort?
- Usually, yes. Some resorts have rules for outside vendors, like checking in at the gate. Put your park name, space number and gate instructions in your request.
- Do they work on engines and transmissions?
- Most mobile RV repair businesses focus on the coach side: AC, appliances, electrical, slides, roofs and plumbing. Engine, transmission and chassis work on a motorhome usually needs a truck or RV shop.
- What happens to my information?
- Your request goes only to the mobile RV repair business that will contact you about the job. See the privacy page for details.
- Is there a phone number?
- Yes. Call (760) 289-3888, or use the request form.
